La douleur dans l'arthrose est-elle acceptable ?

Pain is the more used criteria of judgement in osteoarthritis to assess patients. But the important question is to find the more relevant difference between two levels of pain for patients with osteoarthritis. After describing some pain characteristics and theirs factors of variability, we present the notion of acceptable pain. The minimal clinically important improvement (MCII) and the patient acceptable symptom state (PASS) are very useful to assess the reel improvement for osteoarthritis patients. The superiority of the concept of “feeling well” than “feeling better” is explained.
