Intérêt de la création d'un service spécifique exclusivement dédié à la prise en charge des douleurs liées aux soins et à la chirurgie dans un établissement de santé
چکیده انگلیسی
The management of pain connected to medical care and surgery was one of the priorities set by the French government during the years 2002-2005. In order to standardize and optimize this goal, a mobile algology unit, exclusively dedicated to pain relief for all our patients, was created in 2006 in our private medical establishment. This unit includes four nurses with a specific pain certificate, a psychologist and two referent anesthetic doctors. The unit is open 7/7 all year round from 9am to 7pm. When admitted for medical treatment or surgery, the nurse in charge must fill in a form called “Pain Interview” in order to make a first evaluation of the pain and systematically track chronic and neuropathic preexisting pains. During hospitalization, the “pain team” does daily follow-ups (evaluation and therapeutic adaptation) and sensitizes the other professionals to make sure the analgesic methods are correctly practiced. After hospitalization, the team makes sure that patients understand the details of their analgesic treatments. Beyond patients' satisfaction, which is measured by quality surveys, the creation of this pain unit has allowed us to sensitize all medical and paramedical actors to an anti-pain policy in our medical establishment. Beyond managing acute post-surgery pain, the unit is now in charge of tracking preexisting neuropathic pain and preventing chronic post-surgery pain.
