Protéines à domaines PDZ : cibles potentielles pour le traitement de la douleur chronique

In the central nervous system, the activity of some receptors and ionic channels is regulated, at least in part, by intracellular protein networks, and among them PDZ domain containing proteins. Different strategies resulting in the interruption of the interactions between these receptors or ionic channels and PDZ domain containing proteins were shown to be efficient in the suppression or attenuation of hyperalgesia and/or allodynic symptoms in animal models of chronic inflammatory or neuropathic pain. PDZ domain containing proteins seem to be promising targets in the management of chronic pain.
