Évolution du concept d’alliance thérapeutique en psychanalyse, de Freud à Renik

RésuméL’alliance thérapeutique se définit comme la collaboration mutuelle, un partenariat, entre le patient et le thérapeute dans le but d’accomplir les objectifs fixés. Ce concept a pris naissance en psychanalyse où il a donné lieu à d’intenses débats. Nous proposons une synthèse de ces débats, depuis les premières intuitions de Freud jusqu’à l’actuel courant d’intersubjectivité. Ceci permet de mettre à jour les arguments d’une question qui n’est finalement pas tranchée, mais qui trouve cependant une voie d’expression dans les recherches portant sur les thérapies brèves analytiques. En effet, la confrontation d’idée a essentiellement porté autour du fait de savoir si la notion d’alliance thérapeutique était antinomique du concept de transfert. Et si elle ne l’était pas, de quelle façon il était possible de l’intégrer dans des suivis analytiques (en prémisses ou en complémentarité avec une analyse des phénomènes transférentiels). La question n’est pas conclue, mais si l’on considère que quoiqu’il se passe, une certaine collaboration s’instaure entre le patient et son thérapeute, alors une analyse de cette collaboration via la notion d’alliance thérapeutique est possible et peut offrir un regard sur la dynamique relationnelle indépendamment de la question de l’analyse transférentielle. C’est ce vers quoi ouvrent les recherches actuelles autour de l’alliance thérapeutique à partir de suivis d’orientation analytique.

The therapeutic alliance defines the mutual collaboration, a partnership, between the patient and the therapist with the aim of achieving the fixed objectives. This concept originated in psychoanalysis, and gave rise to intense debates. We propose a synthesis of these debates, since the first intuitions of Freud until the concept of intersubjectivity. This allows to update the arguments of a question which is not finally cut, but which finds however a way of expression in the researches concerning the analytical brief therapies. Indeed, the confrontation of idea essentially carried around the fact of knowing if the notion of therapeutic alliance was antinomic of the concept of transference. And if it was not, how it was possible to integrate it into analytical follow-ups (in premises or in complementarity with an analysis of transference movements). The question is not concluded, but if we consider that although it arrives, a certain collaboration is established between the patient and his therapist, then an analysis of this collaboration via the notion of therapeutic alliance is possible and can offer a glance on the relational dynamics independently of the question of the analysis of transference. It is this verse which the current researches around the therapeutic alliance from analytical follow-ups.
