Edema agudo hemorrágico del lactante

Infantile acute hemorrhagic edema is a benign and selflimiting variant of leukocytoclastic vasculitis that mainly affects children less than 2 years old. The common clinical features are purpuric cutaneous lesions with a cockade or target-like pattern, located in the face and limbs, and a variable degree of edema in affected areas. Typically, there are no signs of systemic involvement, and the most striking feature is that the dramatic cutaneous findings contrast with the generally good health status of affected infants.
