Étude de l'attitude négative face aux problèmes, des attentes envers l'alcool et du coping auprès d'une population alcoolo-dépendante

The aims of the current investigation are to study negative problem orientation, coping and alcohol expectancies and to examine the links between depression and anxiety. Twenty patients alcohol addicted (10 women; 10 men) were given standardized self-rating scales: negative problem orientation (EAQ), coping (Brief cope), alcohol expectancies (EAQ), depression scale (BDI) and anxiety scale (STAI). The results were compared with non-alcohol dependent subjects (10 women; 10 men). The results show that alcohol patients mainly use a negative problem orientation, negative alcohol expectancies, a moderate level of depression and a high level of anxiety. The kind of coping (coping trait) is linked to high level of anxiety trait. More research is needed to compare and examine these results with the aim of helping patients.
