Supercritical fluid extraction of grape seed: Process scale-up, extract chemical composition and economic evaluation

► Grape seeds oils was obtained by supercritical extraction in laboratory and pilot plant scale. ► The scale-up criterion of constant ratio of solvent to feed mass was successful. ► Economic evaluation of the process was performed using a commercial software. ► The best relationship between cost and oil yield was for process conditions of 313 K, 35 MPa, 240 min and S/F of 6.6.
