Tuning the mesopore structure of 3D hexagonal thin films using butanol as a co-solvent

►Distorted 3D hexagonal (space group R-3m) mesoporous titania thin films produced. ►The primary template (P123) gives films with mixed 2D/3D hexagonal structure. ►Small amount of butanol (0.1 g/g P123 template) causes structure change. ►Pore size is reduced by additional 1-butanol but structure is retained.
