Variability of Holocene to Late Pleistocene Zambezi riverine sedimentation at the upper continental slope off Mozambique, 15°-21°S

► Bulk and sand fraction properties of surface sediments are mapped along the slope off Mozambique. ► Textural, geochemical, and micropaleontological indices are dominated by the Zambezi River. ► Transects of sediment cores show that discharge routes and modes are related to sea level. ► Sediment compositional data are essential to understand the river-margin sedimentary system.
