Microstructure, porosity and mineralogy around fractures in Olkiluoto bedrock

► 3D microstructures of samples containing water conducting fractures were determined. ► Combining X-ray tomography, C-14-PMMA method, and petrography yielded better results. ► There is no clear pattern in rock alteration around any given type of fracture.
