Evaluation of three different formats of a neutralizing single chain human antibody against toxin Cn2: Neutralization capacity versus thermodynamic stability

► Three antibody fragments were evaluated in terms of their neutralization capacity. ► A relation between neutralizing ability and thermodynamic stability was observed. ► The order of thermodynamic stability determined was Fab ≫ scFv > diabody scFv. ► The Fab and scFv neutralized Cn2 toxin and venom of scorpion Centruroides noxius. ► The diabody was unable to completely eliminate envenoming symptoms.
