A high-resolution real-time forecasting system for predicting the fate of oil spills in the Strait of Bonifacio (western Mediterranean Sea)

► An operational system to predict the fate of oil spill in the Bonifacio Strait (western Mediterranean) is presented. ► The adopted numerical methods are described. ► The model has been validated trough out comparison with ADCP current data lagrangian drifters trajectories.
