On the relevance of meiobenthic research for policy-makers

► Many ecosystem assessments use inadequate data on non-target organisms. ► These include small-sized organisms (<1 mm) such as meiofauna. ► To date, meiobenthic research has largely failed to underpin ecosystem management. ► Future research will exert influence if it is relevant to 'big picture' questions.
