Distribution and sources of organochlorine pesticides in sediments of the coastal East China Sea

► OCPs in sediments of the coastal East China Sea were studied. ► There was still a fresh input of DDT and chlordane in the region. ► The coastal East China Sea is an important sink of the OCPs. ► DDTs and chlordane are more concerned for the ecotoxicological risk.
