The effect of tetraploidization of wild Arachis on leaf morphology and other drought-related traits

► Wild diploid Arachis are sources of new traits for tetraploid cultivated peanut. ► In this work drought-related morpho-physiological traits were analyzed in Arachis genotypes. ► Most drought-related traits were changed by hybridization and tetraploidization of the diploids. ► To guide introgression, evaluations on synthetic tetraploids are likely to be most informative.
