Control of Alicyclobacillus acidoterrestris in apple juice by citrus extracts and a mild heat-treatment

► Biocitro and lemon extract are effective extracts to control A. acidoterrestris. ► The effectiveness of citrus oils could be enhanced by a thermal treatment at 80 °C for 3-6 min. ► Spores in apple juice can be controlled by combining citrus oils and a mild heat-treatment.
