Diamond-garnet geobarometry: The role of garnet compressibility and expansivity

The figure represents the pressure of entrapment of garnet by the diamond (i.e. the pressure of formation of the pair) as a function of the pyrope content for a pyrope-almandine inclusion in diamond. The black squares correspond to the data calculated with our new thermo-elastic parameters along thr pyrope-almandine join. Bulk moduli above 170 GPa for pyrope would confirm that our value lower than 165 GPa is more realistic than the previous one.54
