Two-stage partial melting and contrasting cooling history within the Higher Himalayan Crystalline Sequence in the far-eastern Nepal Himalaya

►We present U-Pb zircon, FT zircon and K-Ar biotite ages from partially molten rocks. ► Two discontinuous multiple melting during c. 33 to 16 Ma within high-grade rocks. ► Different cooling rates (c. 15-25 and 30-40 °C/My) of Early Oligocene and Early Miocene migmatites. ► The formation of large-scale thrust within the HHCS.
