Evolution of zircon deformation mechanisms in a shear zone (Lanzo massif, Western-Alps)

► Microstructural (EBSD) data from zircon grains analysed in a kinematic context from sheared gabbros. ► Zircon grains from the same environmental conditions can be deformed by different slip systems. ► Primary orientation and high strain rate favours one or several glide systems within a single grain. ► Glide system could be dependant of pressure, temperature and strain rate. ► Zircon grains record plastic deformation and rigid body rotation.
