Geochemistry and petrogenesis of Mesoproterozoic (~Â 1.1Â Ga) magmatic enclaves in granites of the eastern Llano Uplift, central Texas, USA

► Granite plutons of the eastern Llano Uplift contain two types of magmatic enclaves. ► Type I enclaves are felsic in composition and similar to the host granites. ► Type II enclaves (intermediate) are chemically distinct from the host granite. ► Type II enclaves may have evolved by RFC processes. ► RFC modeling reproduces trace-element trends.
