Geomorphologic indicators of sea level and lowstand paleo-shelf exposure on early-middle Miocene sequence boundaries

►We map two early-middle Miocene sequence boundaries using 3D seismic data. ►Coherence mapping identifies linear and arcuate step-like features in carbonates. ►We interpret them as buried wave-cut terraces which constrain shoreline location. ►The features constitute rare deeply buried examples of sea cliffs. ►They imply that paleoshelves were widely exposed at lowstand.
