Supported liquid membrane-liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis of cyanobacterial toxins in fresh water systems

► Method for the monitoring of microcystins in drinking water systems was reported. ► The developed method involved sample preparation by liquid membranes as well as solid phase extraction. ► The detection was by liquid chromatography coupled to a mass spectrometer. ► The method was able to detect very low amounts of microcystins.
