Investigation of transparent magnetic material formed by selective oxidation of a metallic glass

► Nanocrystalline FCC Ni and Nb2O5 oxide form from Ni-Nb metallic glass. ► The thin film being 30-40 % transparent exhibits a superparamagnetic behavior. ► It is applicable as a magneto-optic material. ► Fitting with the Langevin function corresponds well to structural observation.
