Traumatismes et douleur : le point de vue des thérapies comportementales et cognitives, table ronde du congrès annuel de la SFETD 2011

During the annual SFETD conference in November 2011, the theme on distress that is linked to traumas gave cause for an Advanced Psychology course, which responds to actual clinical studies on the specifics of trauma. In effect, the psychotraumatism clinic is significant in the practice of pain structures and improves upon every multidisciplinary and multiprofessional stage of care achieved within these structures. The trauma clinic is broad and can cover several theoretical fields. Numerous studies exist, which refine theoretical models, and allow therapies to become more and more relevant. Here, after recalling the general framework, it will be a matter of presenting the trauma clinic from a viewpoint aimed at cognitive-behavioural therapies (CBT), as well as their importance and particularity in the management of chronic pain. This article corresponds with the presentation given during the round table discussion about the Advanced Psychology course at this conference.
