Approches thérapeutiques des troubles cognitifs et de la communication dans les démences

Many theoretical and clinical approaches have been described for non-medicinal therapy for cognitive and communication disorders in dementia. In this review, we focus on a particular intervention designed for Alzheimer patients with communication disorders. Defined as ecosystemic, this therapy targets not only the patient but close relations (family/work colleagues) who actively participate in the management scheme. The main principles of this approach and ways to assess its efficacy are examined and illustrated with a case study.
