Preparation of porous alumina abrasives and their chemical mechanical polishing behavior

► We prepared porous alumina abrasives with different pore sizes. ► The polished surface roughness decreases when pore diameter of porous alumina increases. ► The porous alumina has lower polished surface roughness than solid alumina.
