Estimation of the pre-North Anatolian Fault Zone pseudo-paleo-topography: A key to determining the cumulative offset of major post-collisional strike-slip faults

► A new method is established for estimation of total offsets of a strike-slip fault. ► Method is tested on the North Anatolian Fault Zone that cuts Miocene morphology. ► The weighted averages of maximum offsets' measurements are between 72 and 75 km.► The southern part of the NAFZ has been uplifted ~ 290 m at west by the tilting.
