OSL and IRSL dating of raised beach sand deposits along the southeastern coast of Norway

► Beach sand deposits along the southeastern coast of Norway were dated by OSL and IRSL. ► TL, OSL, LM were applied to described luminescence characteristics. ► Quartz shows poor luminescence characteristics and only a limited number of quartz samples were dateable. ► IRSL shows no fading and represent an alternative to OSL dating.
