Effects of enoxaparin in the rat hippocampus following traumatic brain injury

► We examined the effects of enoxaparin on the rat hippocampal damage induced by TBI. ► Enoxaparin decreased the levels of lipid peroxidation products and oxidized proteins. ► Enoxaparin also reduced hippocampal COX-2 overexpression and reactive gliosis. ► Enoxaparin possesses antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects in the rat TBI.
