Trace element content of seagrasses in the Leschenault Estuary, Western Australia

- We measured trace elements in seagrass, sediment and porewater in gradient from drain.
- Trace element content greater in Halophia than Ruppia for Al, Fe, and As.
- Sediment-route pathway for Fe, Al, As and Ni important for seagrass bioaccumulation.
- Metal content of seagrass informs about possible sources and accumulation pathways.
