IFN-γ-enhanced allergen penetration across respiratory epithelium augments allergic inflammation

These results demonstrate that the TH1 cell-derived cytokine IFN-γ facilitates allergen penetration through the respiratory epithelium and thereby can aggravate allergic inflammation.
