Kardionkologia - odpowiedź na wyzwania współczesnej terapii

The article presents different aspects of an emerging medical subspecialty - cardioncology. Special attention has been paid to the problem of the cardiotoxic effects of currently employed chemiotherapeutics and radiotherapy. The latest evidence regarding prevention of cardiotoxicity during cancer therapy has been reviewed as well as the guidelines for cardiovascular care in cancer survivors.
