Reduced plasma total antioxidant status in first-episode drug-naive patients with schizophrenia
چکیده انگلیسی
► Total antioxidant status (TAS) was assayed in first-episode drug naïve schizophrenia and controls. ► TAS levels were significantly lower in first-episode patients. ► A trend toward significantly inverse correlation between TAS and negative symptoms. ► Oxidative stress occurs in an acute stage of schizophrenic episode.
