چکیده انگلیسی
⺠Increase in homocysteine level is associated with age-related cataracts (ARC). ⺠Higher levels of homocysteine induce ER stress. ⺠ER stress induce Ca++ release, calpain activation, proteolysis and ROS production. ⺠Resulted in Nrf2 degradation and failure of Nrf2-dependent antioxidant protection. ⺠Homocysteine is elevated in old age which is associated with the formation of ARC.
