Nadwrażliwość na leki - rekomendacje wobec praktyki

Drug hypersensitivity reactions (DHRs) are an important public health concern related to the safety of individuals and the costs incurred in consequence for the health care system. DHRs are functionally and clinically heterogeneous. They are classified according to the timing of symptom appearance (immediate and nonimmediate reactions) or the type of mechanism (nonallergic or allergic, when the immune mechanisms are involved). Several guidelines and literature regarding the general and specific drug classes that induce hypersensitivity reactions have been recently published to assist in the management of DHRs. In this article, we highlight the key messages of the current recommendations and discuss the advances in knowledge of the mechanisms for the diagnosis and prevention of drug hypersensitivity reactions.
