Inhibitory effect of chlorophyll c2 from brown algae, Sargassum horneri, on degranulation of RBL-2H3 cells
چکیده انگلیسی
► Edible seaweed extracts were screened for in vitro anti-allergic effects. ► Brown algae inhibited the degranulation of RBL-2H3 cells without cytotoxicity. ► Chlorophyll-c2 was identified as the active substance in Sargassum horneri. ► Purified chlorophyll-c2 also suppressed the degranulation of RBL-2H3 cells. ► Chlorophyll-c2 in brown algae has potential as a novel anti-allergic foodstuff.
