The Goushti iron deposit in Dehbid area from the Sanandaj-Sirjan metamorphic Zone, SW Iran is hosted by the Early Mesozoic silicified dolomite. Mineralized zones are lithostructurally controlled. Magnetite is the major ore mineral that occurs as open space fillings. Geochemical characteristics of the studied ore bodies are consistent with those of the hydrothermal iron ores. The subvolcanic rhyolite and basalt in the Dehbid area are regarded as the origin of iron and heat in mineralizing system. A decrease in T and P supplemented by fluid mixing controls the iron oxide precipitation. The Goushti deposit could not be classified as a member of the IOCG deposits.348
