Genome-wide association study of blood pressure response to methylphenidate treatment of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder

► This is the first genome-wide association study focused on blood pressure response to methylphenidate treatment of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder in children. ► There were no genome-wide statistically significant associations or amongst candidate genes associated with normal variation in blood pressure. ► Gene enrichment analyses suggested a role for genes involved in regulating vascular tone (SLC24A3, PTPRM, and KCNQ5) and involved in cardiac conduction (RYR2, RYR3, SCN5A, SCN10 and KCNQ1).
