آشنایی با موضوع

استیلن، گازی بی‌رنگ و در دمای معمولی و فشار بشدت آتشگیر و با بویی شبیه بوی سیر می‌باشد. این گاز در سال 1836 توسط "ادموند داوی" کشف شد. در هوا به‌شدت و با شعله‌ای درخشان می‌سوزد. مخلوط استیلن و هوا بسیار منفجر شونده است. بنابراین آن را به‌صورت محلول در استون و به همراه مواد متخلخل ذخیره و حمل می‌کنند. انرژی شیمیایی بالای استیلن به‌علت بند سه‌گانه C≡C آن می‌باشد. تولید استیلن عمده‌ترین ماده خام برای تولید استیلن، کربنات کلسیم ( سنگ آهک ) و زغال سنگ می‌باشد. کربنات کلسیم را ابتدا با حرارت دادن به اکسید کلسیم تبدیل کرده و زغال سنگ را هم به زغال کک تبدیل می‌کنند. سپس اکسید کلسیم و کک باهم واکنش داده و منوکسید کربن و کاربید کلسیم تولید می‌کند. با اضافه کردن آب به کاربید کلسیم استیلن و هیدروکسید کلسیم تولید می‌شود. استیلن را همچنین می‌توان از سوختن ناقص متان با اکسیژن و یا از کراکینگ هیدروکربنها تولید کرد. واکنشهای استیلن پیرولیز استیلن در دمای بالاتر از درجه سانتی‌گراد شروع می‌شود و عمده‌ترین محصول این فرآیند دیمر وینیل استیلن و بنزن می‌باشد. در دمای بالاتر از درجه سانتی‌گراد مهمترین فراورده دوده می‌باشد. استیلن با استفاده از کاتالیزوزهای فلزی نرم مانند pt، Ni و… به اتیلن و سپس به اتان احیا می‌شود. با واکنش با آب در مجاورت اسید سولفوریک و سولفات، وینیل الکل ناپایدار تولید می‌کند که سپس به اتانول تبدیل می‌شود. در اثر واکنش با کلر، تتراکلرواتان تولید می‌کند که بسیار سمی است. این ترکیب درحضور باز HCl از دست داده و به تری کلرواتیلن تبدیل می‌شود که به‌عنوان حلال برای چربی‌ها، نفت، رزین و لاک بکار می‌رود. استیلن در اثر تماس با فلز نقره و مس به صورت خطرناک و انفجاری واکنش داده و ترکیب استیلید نقره یا مس ایجاد می‌کند. به‌علت خطرناک بودن این واکنش استیلن نباید با مس و نقره تماس داشته باشد و واکنش تولید استیلید در محلولهای آبی نمکهای نقره و مس انجام می‌شود. این واکنش گاهی برای شناسایی استیلن بکار می‌رود. استیلن به علت داشتن بند سه‌گانه سیر نشده در واکنشهای افزایشی فراوانی شرکت می‌کند. استیلن در کپسولهای مخصوص نگهداری می‌شود. کاربردها تقریبا 80 درصد استیلن تولید شده در آمریکا برای سنتز ترکیبات شیمیایی و 20 درصد برای تولید اکسی استیلن در جوشکاری و برش فلزات استفاده می‌شود. استیلن در اثر احتراق با اکسیژن، شعله‌ای تولید می‌کند که بیشتر از درجه سانتی‌گراد حرارت دارد. استیلن به صورت تجارتی در کپسولهای زرد همراه استون عرضه می‌شود. استیلن در تولید لامپهای استیلن یا کاربید استفاده می‌شود که قبلا در معادن مورد استفاده قرار می‌گرفت. برای کربنیزه کردن فولاد هم از استیلن استفاده می‌شود.
